Day 1 Nairobi - Tree Hotel
Leave Nairobi to reach the small town of Nyeri for
lunch. After lunch drive through the forested area to the Tree Hotel of
choice (Ark and Treetop). For those going to the mountain lodge will
reach in time for lunch and spend the night, comfortably watching forest
game as it comes to drink and lick salt at the floodlit waterhole below.
Dinner and overnight at a Tree Hotel.
Day 2 Tree hotel - Samburu/Shaba National Reserve
After breakfast drive north to reach Samburu, which lies
on the edge of the vast semi-desert lands of northern Kenya, in time for
lunch. An afternoon game drive will introduce you to the animals, which
are peculiar to the area - the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra,
Somali ostrich, oryx, and the rare kudu dinner and overnight at a lodge
or camp.

Day 3 Samburu/Shaba National Reserve
Another exploration of this harsh beautiful reserve where
game abounds, especially in the forested fringes on the Uaso Nyiro
river, which flows gently through the dry landscape. Lunch is followed
by another game drive. Dinner & overnight at a lodge or camp.
Day 4 Samburu/Shaba - Mount Kenya Safari Club
A morning game drive in this wild splendid reserve.
Continue to the luxurious Mount Kenya Safari Club which was once owned
by the famous filmstar, William Holden. The afternoon is free to enjoy
the numerous optional facilities of the club which include horseback
riding, tennis, golf, bowls, swimming or just luxuriating in the
comfortable and beauty of your surroundings.
Dinner and overnight Mount Kenya Safari Club.
Day 5 Mount Kenya - Lake Nakuru (Naivasha)
In the morning cross the tip of the Mountains stopping
briefly to Thompson's Falls. Continue to Lake Nakuru for lunch and
afternoon visit to Lake Nakuru National Park where the sight of a
million flamingoes. Dinner & Overnight at a Lakeside lodge at Nakuru or
Naivasha.
Day 6 Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara
After Breakfast, drive across the lunar landscape of the
Great Rift Valley to reach Kenya's best known game reserve - the Maasai
Mara - in time for lunch. In the afternoon explore the rolling hills and
plains for wonderful sights of the great numbers of different species
found here.
Dinner & overnight at a lodge or camp in or near the
Reserve.
Day 7 Maasai Mara
A morning and afternoon game viewing. Meals and
overnight at a lodge or camp.
Day 8 Maasai Mara – Nairobi.
After breakfast return to Nairobi.
